Creative Palm Books
A “palm book” is simply a book that fits in the palm of your hand!
This hands-on workshop will give you a chance to create small books for small publishing. The book is such a great tool for combining visual and textual language as well as storytelling and journaling into a concrete physical form.
Usually “personal” books are done in the style known as “artist books,” one-of-a-kind creations. Published books which are all created through the computer at some level create the opportunity for many more people to experience it! Using Adobe’s portable document format (.pdf) and the internet, we can publish work to others and have them print their own copy. This means anyone can end up with a book - and you don’t have to sit and make all the copies.
We have posted all the handouts templates and samples on a website located at www.clibrary.pbwiki.com.
